Description.
A quilt is a covering made from layers of interwoven fabrics in the process called quilting. Best known as a bed covering, a quilt is usually made up of three fabrics with an insulating later between them, usually in the form of cotton, silk or wool. Cotton is the most preferred insulator of quilters because of its lightweight property. The most decorative part of the quilt is the top layer.
